What's New
Under crisp skies and surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall, about 30 families gathered at Redwood Hill Preserve on Saturday, September 20, for the Indian River Lakes Conservancy’s annual Fall Family Fun Day. The free community event welcomed families, friends, and neighbors for a day of creativity, discovery, and time together on the trails.
Attendees enjoyed pumpkin decorating, crafting spiders, building nature fairy houses, and creating natural fall wreaths using materials from the forest. The trails were alive with energy as children and adults alike explored the preserve.
A highlight of the day was a special presentation from Daniel Bellinger of Save the River, who shared insights about Terns, their ecological importance, and how local residents can contribute to conservation as citizen scientists.
IRLC extends heartfelt thanks to the volunteers and community members who helped make the day a success, and invites the community to explore upcoming opportunities to connect with nature through events like guided hikes, stewardship days, and the annual Night Tree celebration later this year.
