The Night Tree

December 22, 2023
4:30 pm
- 6:30 pm

Mark your calendars for a festive event!

There will be an outdoor story around the campfire, Hemlock tree lighting, and all-natural ornament-making.

Our Annual Tree Lighting at Redwood Hill Preserve is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to share this magical evening with you.

We’ll begin by reading “The Night Tree,” by Eve Bunting a heartwarming story of a family decorating a tree with popcorn and natural ornaments, welcoming wildlife to partake in the festivities.
After the story, it’s time to get creative! We’ll all come together to make ornaments and enjoy some delicious hot cocoa to keep warm.

Then, as the sun sets and the stars twinkle, we’ll take a leisurely walk to decorate the tree and witness it light up, casting a warm glow over the beautiful lake. It’s a delightful sight you won’t want to miss.

This event is not just about the tree; it’s about building a sense of community and sharing the wonder of nature in the winter. It’s the perfect opportunity to step outside, embrace the season, and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts.

If you’re interested in volunteering or have any questions, please reach out to us at info@IndianRiverLakes.org.
