A Heartfelt Goodbye from Katie Syring
It’s with a mix of gratitude and bittersweet emotion that my time as Office Manager at the Indian River Lakes Conservancy is coming to a close as my family and I move to AL in the coming weeks.
These past few years have been some of the most rewarding. From answering calls and emails, organizing events, helping keep our mission alive through communications like eNews, Good News Updates, Social Media, Press Releases, Newsletters, and so much more. I pride myself in the work I produce and put out into our community, but my greatest joy has been meeting so many of you out on the trails, at the preserves, at events, Nature Camp, or just popping into the office. Every moment has reminded me why IRLC exists: to protect the beauty of our lakes, forests, and lands, and to share that wonder with our community.

I am endlessly grateful to the board, our dedicated volunteers, and all of YOU: our supporters. You make this work meaningful, inspiring, and full of joy. Your passion for the natural world and your commitment to conservation has been my daily motivation.
Though I’m stepping away from this role, the mission and the memories will always stay with me. I hope you’ll continue to explore our preserves, support our events, and cherish the beauty of the Indian River Lakes region because every visit, every donation, every small act of care keeps the wonder alive.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for letting me be part of this incredible community. I will always carry IRLC with me.
With gratitude and warmest wishes,
Katie Syring
