What's New

Serving as the Board Chair of the Indian River Lakes Conservancy has been an honor. Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team—board members, staff, volunteers, and supporters—all committed to protecting the land and water that make this region so special.
During my time as Chair, I’ve seen firsthand the impact IRLC has on our lakes, trails, and community. From conservation successes and habitat restoration to education programs that inspire the next generation of stewards, our work has continued to grow in both reach and importance. None of this would be possible without the people who give their time, energy, and resources to support IRLC’s mission.
As I step down from my role, I’m excited to introduce Brooke Wills-Thomas as the new Board Chair and John O’Driscoll as Vice Chair. Brooke brings a deep passion for conservation and a strong commitment to community engagement, and I have no doubt she will guide IRLC with vision and dedication. John’s experience and leadership will also be a tremendous asset as we continue our work to protect the Indian River Lakes.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have served as chair for this incredible organization, and I look forward to seeing IRLC’s continued success under Brooke and John’s leadership. I look forward to continuing to serve as a board member and volunteer for this “small, but mighty” land trust that gives back so much back to the community. Thank you to everyone who has supported IRLC—you are the heart of this mission.
