Mike Lovegreen

Mike joined the IRLC board in 2022. He and his wife Elaine love spending time at the cottage on Clear Lake in the summer months. They have been married for 34 years, and enjoy entertaining their 4 children and 8 grandchildren lakeside.

Mike is a graduate of SUNY with a degree in natural resource management. He served as the Conservation District Manager for the Bradford County Conservation District (PA) for 35 years while living in Waverly, NY.

He then served as the Stream Team Leader for the Upper Susquehanna Coalition, which is comprised of 20 County Soil and Water Conservation Districts in NY and PA.  As Stream Team Leader it was his job to increase the technical capability of member Counties and others through workshops, training, and direct assistance.  Mike also served as the Professional Development Coordinator for PA’s 66 Conservation Districts.  Mike has served on numerous organizational Boards in many capacities that include: President of the PA Lakes Management Society, Founding member of the Volunteer Monitoring Network for PA, the Endless Mts. Resource Conservation and Development Area, the Endless Mts. Heritage Region, the President of the Northeast Regional Association of Conservation Districts, the National Association of Conservation Districts, and numerous other organizations.

Mike is also currently serving as NY’s representative to the EPA Chesapeake Bay Program Citizens’ Advisory Committee.
