Judy Cornick is a newly-elected IRLC Board Director and will serve as Treasurer of the Board.
Judy is originally from the Syracuse area and summered at a cottage at Shaw’s On The River for several years. She loved boating and summering in the area so much that she decided to move here permanently. She has now lived in Alexandria Bay for 23 years, long enough to be considered a native by her friends.
Judy holds a B.S. in Accounting and Business Management from Empire State College and certificates from NYS Accounting and Financial Management Training.
She owns an Accounting Service for both Non-profit organizations and For-profit businesses and is the Office Manager for the Historic Cornwall Brothers Store in Alexandria Bay, NY.
Judy has a penchant for serving her community and has held many positions locally such as Treasurer of the Villages of Clayton and Alexandria Bay, Clayton Fire District Board Secretary and Treasurer, and Tax Collector and Claims Auditor for the Alexandria School District.
Over the years, Judy has volunteered in various other organizations including the Indian River Lakes Conservancy, Friends of the River Hospital, The Alexandria Historical Society, Girl Scouts of America, US Army, and various school reading programs.
