Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jessica grew up enjoying the sun, beaches, and beautiful places around the island. As a young adult, she joined the Army, and has lived most of her adult years around the states, including Georgia, Texas, Colorado, and more recently New York.
After serving for eight years, Jessica served as a Workshop Facilitator at Fort Drum, helping transitioning Service Members with future career pathways, resumè writing, interview preparation, and Veteran transitioning programs. Jessica enjoys exploring the Northern New York areas and Indian River Watershed by kayaking, fishing, and hiking with her family.
Her background includes a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources with a minor concentration in Small Business Development and a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Common Loons are some of the most iconic Indian River Lakes residents. Unlike most bird species, loons have solid bones. This makes them less buoyant and more effective at maneuvering through water.
