Winter Wonderland Hike
Saturday, January 21, 2017 1:00 pm
Would you like to get your family outdoors on a winter’s afternoon to experience a slice of the North Country’s woods and lakes? Join us at the Redwood Hill Preserve for our annual Winter Wonderland Hike!
Snow provides the perfect opportunity to see signs of winter animal activities on this fun snowshoe hike. Our naturalist volunteer will share stories and trivia about the fascinating ways that animals and plants survive the harsh extremes of winter. Hikers are invited to linger around a warm fire after the hike with hot cocoa and snacks. Don’t let the snow and cold keep you indoors all winter. Bring your spirit of adventure, warm hiking boots, and/or snow shoes to join in on the fun!
A limited number of snow shoes will be available for participants to borrow, but must be requested in advance. Depending on conditions, snowshoes may be essential for this hike.
You MUST pre-register to reserve a pair of snowshoes.
Please be sure to note the number and size (adult or child) of pairs you wish to borrow in the comments section of the reservation form. Snowshoes will be available on a first come, first served basis.
The Redwood Hill Preserve is located at 44010 Stine Road, Redwood, NY 13679.
